Aluminium Forging Lugs eliminate any imperfections in the metal structure which are often found in cast Aluminium Lugs. Features of Aluminium Forging Lugs
  • The barrel is chemically treated to reduce contact resistance, is filled with joining compound and capped.
  • Before crimping, the conductors should be scratch brushed.
  • The lugs should be crimped with standard hexagonal dies, crimping from the palm outwards to force jointing compound into the conductor.
Application of Aluminium Forging Lugs
  • Suitable for outdoor use as the palm ends are sealed.
  • For stranded sector and circular stranded Aluminium conductor.
  • Eliminate any imperfections in the metal structure.
  • For termination of a wide range of different cable cores with typically off set pads for connection to bus bar, studs, etc.
