Aluminium Lugs are manufactured from solid aluminium rod using high conductivity aluminium. Aluminium Lugs are forged from solid material; they are suitable for outdoor use as the ends are seals. It is important to use the correct dies, crimping tools and follow instructions as specified by the lug manufacturer to ensure high quality crimping joints. Non Circular sector shaped Aluminium Conductors require pre rounding prior to introduction of the conductor into the cable lugs.

Features of Aluminium Lugs
  • Available in Non-Circular (sector shaped Aluminium conductors) require pre rounding using die-sets prior to introduction of the conductor into the cable lugs.
  • Aluminium Lugs feature barrels capped and fitted with grease to prevent oxidation of the aluminium.
  • Designed to accept a variety of conductor forms especially low stranded compacted conductors.
  • Homogeneity of jointing material and the cable so as to avoid sparking.

  • Suitable for low voltage crimping and terminating Aluminium Conductors including stranded compacted conductors.
