Brass Anti-vibration washers are very highly rated and tested wedge locking washers, that give excellent resistant to vibration. Wedge lock washers cannot loosen unintentionally as they create a wedge underneath the nut/bolt head. This makes washers ideal in applications where a failure of the bolt is simply not an option. The wedge works because the wedge angle in the washers is greater than that of the thread pitch of the fastener.
